Transaction fees simplified for Zerodha users

With smallcases, our aim is to make investing as simple and easy for the users as possible. To further simplify your investing experience, we’ve worked with our broker partner, Zerodha, and have a transactional pricing update for you. This collaborative effort will ensure that our Zerodha users have a simpler and better fee structure.

What was the transaction fee structure?

Until now, the pricing for all smallcases was at ₹100 + GST or 2.5% of the brokerage amount, whichever was lower. However, the All Weather Investing and Smart Beta smallcases were charged differently – while these were free to place buy or sell orders in, all other orders were charged at ₹50.

What’s the change in transaction fee structure?

As a part of our latest improvements, we’re making the pricing for these smallcases the same as it is for the other ones! Now you won’t have to pay every time you transact in All Weather Investing and Smart Beta smallcases; only a ONE-TIME TRANSACTION FEE will be applicable when you place your first order!

When is the change happening?

This change is effective from 25th June 2021.

DateTransaction Charges
Before 25th June 2021 ₹50 + GST / order
From 25th June 2021On FIRST order only – One time fee of ₹100+GST or 2.5% of transaction amount+GST
(whichever is lower)

If you have already invested, nothing changes for you; you won’t have any extra charges! However, if you haven’t invested in All Weather Investing or Smart Beta, you can choose to invest now. You will be charged a fee of ₹100 or 2.5% of the transaction amount + GST, whichever is lower. All future orders, SIPs, buy/sell of stocks, rebalance updates, will then be free for you.

Hope this change brings more order, clarity, and a better investing experience for you.
