Fidelfolio has been founded by Kislay Upadhyay. He is an experienced investor with over a decade of expertise. He has been involved in industry-defining working, working directly in small investment teams with industry leaders like Mr. Saurabh Mukherjea (Ambit Capital) and Mr. Sunil Singhania (Abakkus Asset Managers). He played a significant role in establishing the Coffee Can PMS at Ambit, introducing India’s first publicly launched rule-based investment product for mainstream active investing. The strategy has maintained an impressive ~20% CAGR since inception. Subsequently, he became part of founding team at Abakkus, contributing to investment research. Additionally, he gained experience in passive product construction at the National Stock Exchange’s Index team, the largest index creator in the country.
Kislay has made contributions to investment literature through his involvement in writing and researching India’s national bestseller investment book, "Coffee Can Investing" (2018). He also co-authored the report "The Big Call - Bubble in Quality" in 2019 and is a regular contributor to leading finance publications such as Economist, Business Standard, and Mint etc. As an active member of the CFA Society India, Kislay serves on the Public Awareness Committee. He is a frequent contributor to CFA podcasts and newsletters.
Kislay holds a CFA Charter, an MBA from IIM Lucknow, and a BE from VTU. He has also contributed to the "Artificial Intelligence in Financial Markets" program by NSE Academy.
