Nifty_SM100

The primary stock universe for Focused Growth 2031 will be drawn from the top 1,000 listed companies by market capitalization and liquidity in India. This ensures adequate scalability, governance standards, and trading liquidity, while still allowing participation across large-cap, mid-cap, and emerging high-growth small-cap opportunities. However, occasionally we may select companies with a lower market cap and beyond Nifty 1000 universe if the stock is liquid and the company meets our other criteria as defined in constituent screening.

The research methodology combines bottom-up fundamental analysis with selective macro overlays. We evaluate revenue growth visibility, earnings quality, ROCE, balance sheet strength, cash flow generation, and competitive positioning. Valuation is assessed using relative and intrinsic frameworks. Technical indicators are used tactically to optimize entry points, position sizing, and risk management.

Final Selection Criteria for Constituents – Focused Growth 2031

Sustainable Earnings Growth – Clear visibility of revenue and profit compounding over the next 3–5 years.

High Capital Efficiency – Consistent ROCE/ROE above cost of capital, indicating strong business economics.

Balance Sheet Strength – Manageable leverage, healthy interest coverage, and positive operating cash flows.

Scalable Business Model – Large addressable market with operating leverage potential.

Competitive Moat – Brand strength, cost advantage, distribution edge, or technological differentiation.

Valuation Comfort – Reasonable margin of safety based on growth-adjusted valuation metrics.

Liquidity & Governance – Adequate trading volumes and credible management track record.

Favourable Risk–Reward – Attractive upside relative to identifiable business and sector risks.

Only stocks meeting a majority of these filters qualify for inclusion in the concentrated portfolio.

The portfolio will be primarily equal-weighted to avoid excessive concentration risk and to ensure each high-conviction idea contributes meaningfully to overall returns. This structure prevents overexposure to a single theme or market cap segment and promotes balanced compounding. However, weights may be tactically adjusted when technical analysis indicates favorable entry zones - such as oversold conditions, strong base formations, or momentum reversals. In such cases, allocation to a specific constituent may be temporarily increased, provided the underlying fundamentals remain intact and risk–reward remains attractive. Position sizing discipline will always remain aligned with overall portfolio risk management.

This smallcase has a monthly rebalance schedule. Once every month, the research team reviews this smallcase and realign the weights with the selected asset allocation strategy for the next month
