<ul><li>For Largecap universe, the constituent stocks of N50 , a large cap index floated by National Stock Exchange (NSE) rtc., are taken as the primary base. Other large cap cos may also be considered for further evaluation on a case to case basis.</li></ul> <ul><li>Similar approach is taken for identifying Midcap &amp; Smallcap universe, wherein. constituent stock underlying the NSE Pharma Index and stocks that are outside of the relevant Midcap/Smallcap index are also looked at in arriving at the sample set of stocks that are relatable to the Smallcase theme.</li></ul>

Individual stocks are selected for further analysis based on company's financial past performance and a host of other qualitative and quantitative parameters.

Some of key parameters for stock screening include ROCE, Earnings growth potential, PE multiples, Value Vs Growth conundrum, Past performance of the stock/business, advances /retracements etc.

Weighting of stocks is based on future earnings potential , past earnings growth record, trends in ROCE , Current Valuation parameters such current PEs, Current market cap, Current Sales etc, Weighting scheme would also vary based on market conditions -higher weightage to stocks in a bull-phase scenario and lower weightage for stocks in a bear phase / correction scenario. Liquid Fund ETFs / Gold ETFs are used as balancers from time to time, to capitalize on market opportunities from time to time.
