All actively managed tax saver (ELSS) mutual funds with growth option, direct plan and a minimum history of 3 years are included in the universe

<ul><li>Our objective is to apply a disciplined, data-driven approach that increases the probability of outperforming category benchmarks and median category returns, while also reducing the risk of long periods of underperformance. We use each fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) history to study a wide range of performance and risk indicators—covering absolute returns, annualized returns, rolling returns, volatility, downside measures, risk-adjusted ratios, and capture ratios. In total, over 100 factors were tested for predictive power. These were then distilled into approximately 10 key factors which displayed powerful and continuous ability to identify funds with strong return potential</li><li>An additional diagnostic process is undertaken to compute the characteristics of each mutual fund based on its current constituents. These results are manually reviewed to identify any anomalies in fund behaviour. If no anomalies are observed, the top funds displaying high risk-adjusted returns&nbsp; are selected. This structured process enables the construction of high-conviction portfolios, with the final selection reflecting a balance between consistent outperformance and effective risk control</li></ul>
