Abhinit believes in having a 'risk-first' approach to investing. He opines that returns in financial markets should be viewed as a function of risk management. He classifies every investment opportunity into Business Risk, Promoter Risk and Valuation Risk. Investment opportunities rarely exist without any underlying risk. However, an informed fund manager knows better which risk to add at what time.

His philosophy is to add the right risk (a.k.a stock) at the right time in an investment portfolio.

He believes that there is no end to the growth vs value discussion in investing. It is important to have a good balance between growth & value. The 'Growth at Reasonable Price' (GARP) ideology appeals to him.
