smallcase is committed to making investing simple and accessible for everyone. Today, over 1.2+ crore Indians use smallcase to explore and invest in curated portfolios.

To continue offering a seamless experience, here are the new charges applicable from 21st November, 2022, on how smallcase transactions will be charged on Groww.

Transaction Fees

Lump Sum Investment Charges

  • A transaction fee of ₹100 will be charged for each lump sum investment into a new or existing smallcase.
  • This fee is capped at 1.5% of the investment amount, whichever is lower.
  • You will never pay more than ₹100.

Examples:

  • Invest ₹1,00,000 → Fee = ₹100 (1.5% = ₹1,500, but capped at ₹100)
  • Invest ₹1,000 → Fee = ₹15 (1.5% of ₹1,000)
  • Invest ₹5,000 → Fee = ₹75 (1.5% of ₹5,000)

SIP Investment Charges

  • Flat fee of ₹10 per transaction, also capped at 1.5% of the investment amount.
  • Example: Invest ₹500 via SIP → Fee = ₹7.5 (1.5% of ₹500)

No Charges For:

  • Rebalancing
  • Managing
  • Withdrawing smallcase investments

FAQs

1. When are transaction fees applicable?
Only when investing via lump sum or SIP. No fees apply for rebalancing, managing, or withdrawing smallcases.

2. What has changed?

  • Previous: Flat ₹100 fee capped at 2.5% of investment (new smallcases only).
  • Now: ₹100 fee capped at 1.5% for all lump sum investments.
  • SIP transactions now charged ₹10 (also capped at 1.5%).

3. Has pricing increased or decreased?
The updated structure reduces costs for over 70% of investors.
Example: A ₹5,000 investment previously incurred ₹100. Now it costs only ₹75.
