smallcase is a curated stock portfolio with an underlying theme/strategy/idea. You can easily pick from 500+ such portfolios. However, if you are somebody who has their own set of stocks/ companies you believe will do good for your portfolio, you can always create & invest in your OWN basket of stocks. You can also share it with folks who believe in you or the idea of your smallcase.
You can create your smallcase in 3 simple steps:
1. Select your stocks
- Click on the create tab, then click on ‘Add stocks’ and type in your stocks. Alternatively, you can also find them by clicking on ‘Find stocks on screener’.
- Once you have added all your stocks, you can organise them in different ‘segments’ if you’d like.
2. Weigh your stocks
- By default these stocks get equi-weighted. You can edit the weights of these stocks according to your liking.
- On the left bottom of the app screen, you can see the minimum amount required to invest in the stocks you have chosen in the weighting scheme made by you.
- You can adjust the weights of the stocks to suit the amount you’d like to invest.
3. Evaluate smallcase performance
- Once the stocks are added & weighed, at the bottom of the screen, you can see how the smallcase would have performed in the past 1 year with respect to Nifty or Equity.
- After finalising all the stocks & their weights, click on ‘save’.
- Now add details like image, name, and objective.
Congratulations! You now have a basket of stocks curated & created by you! You could now share your smallcase with your friends & family or invest in it or just track it to test out your strategy.
Note
- You can only add NSE stocks to create/customize your smallcase
- Your smallcase will be private and will be visible only to you or folks you have shared it with. Understand why.
Happy investing!
